MG Motor India, a subsidiary of China’s SAIC Motor Corporation, has launched the MG Comet EV in India on April 26, 2023.

With this launch, MG has entered a new segment in the Indian market, the affordable urban electric vehicle segment.

Comet EV is the smallest all-electic vehicle in the country and one of the smallest cars here. It measures under three meters in length

MG Comet has a 17.3 kWh batery pack at is core and the company claims that Comet has a range of 230 KMS

Comet EV gets a single motor that is mounted on the rear axle. It has a peak power output of 41 hp and max torque of 110 Nm. The top speed of Comet EV is 100 kmph

MG Comet EV is made available in three single-ton options -  White, Black and Silver. There are also two dual-tone options - Green with Black roof and White with Black roof

The front of the vehicle features a full-width LED light bar that MG calls the Extended Horizon connecting lights

The vehicle rides on 12-inch alloy wheels, the smallest wheel size on any vehicle available in the market currently.

The Comet EV’s interior is modern and stylish, with a white and grey colour scheme highlighted by two 10.25-inch screens

The MG Comet EV is the latest addition to MG Motor’s electric vehicle lineup, and it’s already making waves in the Indian automobile market.
